If you have a young daughter or need to buy a gift for a young girl for a birthday or Christmas, LOL dolls are a very safe bet. My 4 year old is absolutely obsessed and I am constantly hearing moms of kids in elementary school sharing in the realization that these dolls are the only toys that their kids want.

Unfortunately, I am already seeing shortages on the dolls themselves! I am buying one here or there when I see them in the stores or on Amazon at regular price so that I am not scrambling during the month of December. These little dolls are crazy popular right now.

This L.O.L surprise dolls gift guide will give you lots of fun LOL products that the LOL obsessed little girl will love. These products are not the dolls themselves but other fun products featuring the doll characters.

LOL Surprise Dolls Gift Guide for Toys & Crafts

  1. LOL Dollhouse – I am pretty sure this is going to be on every 4-11 year old girl’s Christmas list this year! You can preorder it now. I plan to do this because I am betting it will sell out quick.
  2. L.O.L Stylin Studio – Includes over 250 pieces such as stickers, crayons, markers and paper dolls that can be decorated.
  3. L.O.L Fizz Factory – Using household ingredients, the child can create fizz balls, hide surprises and then unbox the surprises. If you don’t know much about the LOL dolls, most of the fun is in the actual unwrapping of the surprise ball. So if they like the dolls, the fizz factory will be a fun craft to create.
  4. Light Up Diary – Kids can store all their secrets in this new light up diary with surprise stickers included.
  5. LOL The Game – The LOL board game is for her and 3 of her friends to play with their favorite LOL doll characters.
  6. LOL Surprise Puzzle – A 60 pc puzzle. The puzzle is a surprise so you don’t know what character puzzle you will get until you open it. (These kids are obsessed with surprises)
  7. LOL Color Change Lip Gloss – Some of the LOL dolls change colors when exposed to hot/cold water. I can’t even explain how many bowls of water I fill up each week so my daughter can see what each doll does. This is on her Christmas list. Color changing lip gloss that you create yourself, what could be better?
  8. LOL Confetti Nail Art – Make your own confetti nail polish and be as pretty as a Glitter Series LOL Doll!
  9. LOL Surprise Secret Message Jewelry – Make your own beaded jewelry and use the decoder to reveal your secret message.

Toys That Get Played With From 24 Months to 3 Years

November 2, 2020 by Stacy Craft Leave a Comment

There is nothing worse than spending money on toys that get played with for a couple of hours and then go to the corner of the room to die a slow death.

I’ve put together a list of tried and true toys that get played with from 24 months to 3 years old.

Christmas Gifts for 2-3 Year olds - Still being used

My youngest just turned 3 and with Christmas coming up, toys are on the brain. I was doing a review of the things in my house that have really been played with over the last year and thought I would share with ya’ll.

So if you have a 2-3 year old or are shopping for a grandchild or niece/nephew, this will give you some ideas of products that will bring lots of joy at play time.

Get value for your money with this list of toys that get played with from 24 months to 3 years! Since I have a boy and a girl, you will find options for both and gender neutral gift ideas as well.

Toys That Get Played With From 24 Months to 3 Years

Getting a good, quality toy doesn’t mean that it has to be expensive. Here you will find a wide range of toys that range from inexpensive to splurges. These toys are tried and true gifts that have been used in our home for at least the last year (some for a lot longer than that).

Find something that fits in your budget and enjoy the entertainment that it provides to your little one.

Budget Friendly Gifts for Toddlers

Little Tikes You Drive Remote Control Car

This is a great first remote control car for toddlers! It is easy to operate and didn’t get stuck like I thought might be an issue with a 2-3 year old using a remote control car.

LeapFrog Sweet Treats Learning Cafe

The play that this one gets may be a result of my coffee obsession but he loves making coffee for me. It is also a great way to have the feel of a play kitchen if you don’t have room for the whole big setup.

Melissa & Doug Scoop & Serve Ice cream  Set

Melissa-Doug-Scoop-Serve-Ice-Cream-Set-Target

Lots of Ice cream shop has been played since we got this cute set.

Cleaning Toys

My littles have both enjoyed doing tasks like mom. So the Fisher Price Vacuum and a broom just their size both get a lot of use. When I’m cleaning, they go get their tools to help.

Bouncy Hopper

My 3 year old is getting another one of these for Christmas because after riding his for approximately 900 hours (lol) he popped his old one.

Mid Range Toys That will Get Played With from 24 Months to 3 Years

Little Tikes Trampoline

My kids (3 & 6) love jumping on this trampoline. There favorite time is when I am exercising & they like to do their “exercise.” It is also a great way to get some of their energy out during the cold and dreary winter months.

Cozy Coupe Car

Little-Tikes-Cozy-Coupe

This is an old classic that kids still love. We have played with this outdoors and even indoors when the weather is bad. Don’t forget the gas station pump to go with it.

Step 2 Vanity

My daughter really enjoyed this from about 3-5. It is recommended for 2 & up but she didn’t get it until 3. We still have it and she turns 7 next month. She enjoys using it while playing dress up.

Check out this simple dress up station to organize dress up clothes, jewelry, make-up and more.

Black & Decker Toy WorkBench

Some of the activities on this bench may be too advanced for a young two year old but they will still enjoy the tools. As they get a bit older, they will be able to adjust the bolts and screw the screws.

My little boy loves to grab his tools whenever we have people working on something around the house.

Toy Splurges for 2-3 Year Olds

6 Volt Paw Patrol Ride On Chase, Marshall or Skye

Paw Patrol Chase Plush Ride On Toy for Kids

My little guy got this for his 2nd birthday and at 3 it still gets used a couple of times a week. Even our almost 7 year old gets in on the action. While this toy is a little large, it works indoors and he has a path that goes through the house.

You can read a full review of this toy here.

Pottery Barn Personalized Anywhere Chair

Light-Pink-Anywhere-Chair®-Kids-Armchair-Pottery-Barn-Kids

While this might not qualify as a traditional toy, kids love furniture that is just their size. These chairs get used when we watch movies and they love them.

Little Tikes Inflatable Bounce House

We bought 4 years ago for my daughter’s birthday party instead of renting a bounce house. Since then, we have used it for several more birthday parties and my kids jump on it frequently throughout the year.

It is a bit bulky but when I know the weather will be nice, we will put it out on a Friday and leave it out all weekend. The kids love it and it keeps them active.

I hope this list of toys that get played with from 24 months to 3 years helps make your Christmas shopping a little easier this year.

August 12, 2020 by Stacy Craft Leave a Comment

Send a no cooking pass for a back to school teacher gift this year to give your favorite educator a much needed break after the chaos of a brand new school year.

Teacher Gift - Give A Meal with Free Printable (1)

Back to school already! But this year I think everyone is ready for a little normalcy after the 2020 quarantine.

Whether you are sending your kids back to the classroom or have chosen a virtual option, you will want to remember your teacher on the first day back to school! And what better way than a pass for no cooking after a long day of teaching.

I don’t know about you but after a long and stressful day (hello trying to social distance & keep masks on a bunch of 6 year olds – bless them all!) I just don’t feel like cooking. So that is where this idea came from to give a simple meal to our new teacher to give her a break on that first day back to school.

University of Tennessee Care Package for College Student

May 8, 2019 by Stacy Craft 3 Comments

If you are in need a graduation gift or dorm move in present for a future UT student, check out this University of Tennessee Care Package.

University of Tennessee Graduation Gift Basket

It is that time of year! Graduation parties are coming up and lots of teens are getting ready to head off to college. When my oldest step daughter was on her way off to Knoxville, I wanted to find a fun gift to give her after the dorm move-in weekend. I created this University of Tennessee care package to give her a few necessities for college life and some treats.

Team spirit was the focus for this basket! Included in the basket were only things that fit with the Vols color scheme of orange or white. Keeping with the school colors made the package a festive gift to present to the new freshman.

3-2-1 Dorm Cake for College Move in GIft

UT Grad Gift with Give Her Six shirt For Women

Packaging the Gift

The Dollar Tree had the white basket that I used. To finish this University of Tennessee care package, just place all of the orange and white items inside the basket.

Next wrap about half a yard of orange tulle (very inexpensive at a craft store) around the entire basket. Secure the tulle with an orange chevron ribbon. After that I just created a quick Orange you glad to be a Tennessee Volunteer Gift tag.

This gift was fun to put together and give. I have also created one for our middle step daughter attending the University of Alabama and for a close friend at Ole Miss. If you need a unique and creative way to give a graduation gift, try this!

Create A Cupid Paint and Canvas Valentine For Kids

January 19, 2020 by Stacy Craft 9 Comments

The create a cupid paint and canvas Valentine for kids is a great way to encourage creativity and imagination.

Create A Cupid Easy Art Valentine for Kids

Valentine’s Day is such a fun holiday for kids. What’s not to love about a day filled with soft teddy bears, beautiful flowers and delicious candy.

Oh the candy. Candy in the Valentine’s cards, candy in heart shaped boxes. Treats at the class party. A special dessert at dinner. Maybe even a heart shaped donut for breakfast.

The sugar can get out of control quickly on this special day. So while I let my kids indulge on V-day, I typically choose to make a fun Valentine favor for friends that doesn’t involve sweets.

Last year we did “When it comes to friendship, you nail it” Valentine’s for the girls filled with a cute nail polish. And we did a “You make my heart Slime” for a unisex option.

So this year I wanted to make another cute homemade non-candy Valentine gift that would be perfect for classroom giving.

The create a cupid paint and canvas Valentine for kids are easy and fun to make.
