Experience Gifts for Kids (With Wrappable Companion)

November 17, 2019 by Stacy Craft 9 Comments

Get some great ideas for experience gifts for kids that include a wrappable companion item.

Ideas for Experience Gifts For Kids with Wrappable companion item

Experience gifts for kids are all the rage these days.

If you have kids, you know the deal. You have a room full of toys that don’t get played with.

Your house can’t handle another big toy and why waste the money if they are not even going to play with it for more than 2 minutes.

So you  go on a mission to encourage Grandma and Grandpa and anyone else that asks to get experience gifts for kids instead of toys.

But if your extended family is like mine, they want the kids to have something to open (that is not just a certificate to a place/event).

They want something fun. Grandma wants to see little Suzy smile with delight upon opening her package.

So this list of experience gifts for kids comes with wrappable companion. It is essentially the experience gift with a little extra something to make the gift opening a bit more exciting (because let’s be honest that is an experince too – opening presents is fun).

Experience Gifts for Kids (With Wrappable Companion)

These experience gifts for kids combine a fun outing or activity with a small correlating toy or activity that can be wrapped and presented with the experience.

This is a great way to do experience gifts for younger kids that might not fully understand that the fun will come at a later date.

Adding a small gift to an experience gift for kids may not work for everyone but for us it is a good compromise.

Experience Gift Idea: Pottery Painting /Canvas Painting Class / Other Art Class
Wrappable Companion: Coloring Book with Paints, Art Case with Supplies – I love art supplies for my kids because you use them and then toss them once they are used up vs. other toys that stick around.

Experience Gift Idea: Zoo Tickets or Membership
Wrappable Companion: Zoo Animals Sound Puzzle – a nice educational item to encourage problem solving/critical thinking.

Experience Gift Idea: Movie Ticket
Wrappable Companion: Play Doh Popcorn Maker – sensory toys are great for developing kids. Or just a bag with some yummy candy treats.

Experience Gift Idea: Trampoline Park/ Bounce House Tickets
Wrappable Companion: Flybar Pogo Stick or some fun/crazy socks since most of these places require socks to play.

Experience Gift Idea: Chuck E. Cheese or Incredible Pizza Play Pass
Wrappable Companion: Melissa & Doug Pretend Play Pizza Set

Experience Gift Idea: Gift Card for Shopping to their favorite store
Wrappable Companion: Cute Cat Purse or A Cool Shark Wallet – Stick the gift card in the purse or wallet.

Experience Gift Idea: Baskin Robbins Gift Card for Ice Cream
Wrappable Companion: Melissa & Doug Ice Cream Set – we have this & it is a hit.

Experience Gift Idea: Lillypost Monthly Book Subscription
Wrappable Companion: A couple of fun books – we love scratch n sniff or touch and feel books.

Frozen II Gift guide - 65 Ideas from the Frozen Obsessed Mama

Frozen Gift Guide with 45+ Ideas for the Frozen Obsessed Child - Adorable Queen Elsa and Princess Anna find for Girls and Olaf items For Boys that Love Frozen! Perfect presents for birthday or Christmas.

(Affiliate Links are used in this post. A small commission may be paid to me at no extra cost to you and that helps to support this page. Please see my disclosures page for additional information.)

When I set out to write the ultimate Frozen gift guide, I decided I would start with the Frozen things that my kids personally own and then move on to cool things I found online. Shock and a little embarrassment came when I discovered just how many Frozen products that we own.

My name is Stacy and my daughter is Frozen obsessed. There I said it. I thought we just liked Frozen but apparently we deserve a place in that obsessed category. Anna is the favorite in our house but Elsa certainly has made an appearance (and the rest of the gang).

And in honor of Frozen 2 being released on 11/22/19, I have updated this post to include all of the newest Frozen toys, clothes and stocking stuffers!

The Ultimate Frozen Gift Guide

Use the ultimate Frozen gift guide to find gifts for the kid that wants and needs everything Frozen. From Frozen toys to clothing to everyday essentials there is something for everyone! Pick out the perfect gift for a Frozen birthday party or a great Christmas present.

Frozen Footwear

Frozen Footwear Gifts - Shoes-Socks-House Slippers

  1. Frozen Girls Light Up Tennis Shoes – Fun Fact: I swore I would never buy light up shoes. Never say never right? My daughter loves these and they are good quality.
  2. Frozen Princess Socks – my little one loves to wear these on “Silly Sock” day at mother’s day out. We have the Anna ones of course but they also have an Elsa pair.
  3. Frozen Boot Slippers – These are so cute. I can never keep socks on my kids in the winter. Maybe these would encourage them!

Frozen Crafts

Frozen Arts & Crafts Gifts for Kids

  1. Frozen Watercolors Paint Book – my daughter starting liking these types of books when she was 3-4. We have had lots of different characters and this Frozen one was entertaining for her. She loves to paint the coloring book pages and hang them on the fridge.
  2. Frozen Aquabeads Refill – Did you have perler beads as a kid? The aquabeads remind of that in a slightly easier for the parent format. Fair warning, if these beads spill it is a mess! But it is fun and my daughter loved the Frozen theme. You will need a starter kit to go with this if you don’t already have one. And here is the Frozen II version!
  3. Frozen Imagine Ink Book – Another childhood memory for me. These are such fun little books with the “magic” marker. The price point is great too!
  4. Frozen Crayola Color Wonder – Coloring is one of my kid’s favorite activities. We love the color wonder products and this Frozen inspired set is no exception.
  5. Frozen 2 Necklace Activity Set – This is the coolest toy at such a reasonable price. You string the beads, add your Frozen charm and wear your creation. Then just undo the clasp to make new creations over and over again.

Essentials

Frozen School Essentials

  1. .Frozen Divided Zak Plates – the zak brand has the best kid plates in my humble opinion. They hold up in the dishwasher and still look new years later. Not to mention that they make meal time fun!
  2. Frozen Thermos – My daughter takes this to school at least twice a week. We fill it with chicken nuggets, pizza, ABC’s & 123’s and even milk with cereal on the side.
  3. Frozen Backpack – Make school a little more fun with this cute bag. We had a Frozen backpack last year for school and used it every day!
  4. Frozen Nap Mat – these are the best! Lightly padded and with a built in pillow and soft blanket. My little one has been using this at mother’s day out for 2 years.
  5. Frozen Child Luggage – we actually have just a princess version of this but my kids use these for overnight trips to grandma’s. They are the perfect size for a few outfits and your favorite stuffed animal.

Stocking Stuffers Under $10

The ultimate Frozen gift guide wouldn’t be complete without some inexpensive stocking stuffers! And don’t forget to grab a Frozen stocking too!

Frozen 2 Stocking Stuffers Under $10 Part 1

  1. Frozen Book – A book is always a great stocking stuffer! Inexpensive, educational and fun!
  2. Elsa Squishy Jewelry Bead Kit – This looks fun and is the perfect size for a stocking.
  3. Frozen II Lipgloss Set
  4. Elsa High Heels
  5. Frozen 2 Sunglasses – Perfectly practical Stocking Stuffer.                                                        Frozen 2 Stocking Stuffers Under $10 Part 2
  6. Frozen 2 Uno Game – A classic game with your favorite Frozen II characters
  7. Frozen 2 Rubbing Art
  8. Da Bomb Frozen Bath Bomb
  9. Frozen Reusable Sticker Play Scene
  10.  Frozen Color By Number  – my 5 year old loves color by numbers!                 Frozen 2 Stocking Stuffers Under $10 Part 3
  11. Frozen Magic Ink Book – With Mess free marker – kids are happy and mom is too.
  12. Frozen II Fizzy Charm Surprise – My daughter loves all types of surprise blind bags. This one makes a cute necklace.
  13. Peel N Stick Frozen Puzzle – This is a cute mosaic style craft, perfect for a stocking.
  14. Frozen Earrings
  15. Frozen Nail Polish Set

Pretend & Imaginative Play

Frozen Imaginative Play Toys

  1. Frozen Hopper Ball – Toys that double as energy release agents always get an extra star! These are great for those super cold Frozen like days outside when you can’t get out. The kids can bounce inside with minimal damage to your stuff. We don’t own this but every time we go to our local children’s museum both of my kids love the hopper balls.
  2. Frozen Lip Gloss & Nail Polish Set – My daughter was just using this nail polish last night. It is a cute set that allows your little girl to pretend she is her favorite princess.
  3. Frozen Mirror & Lipstick – The mirror is a hit. Even my one year old son loves making it light up. It is a toy so the mirror is a stick on reflective which I like because my crazy baby would have a glass mirror broken in about 10 seconds.
  4. Frozen Bath Bomb – Pretend your tub has turned into a Frozen wonderland. My little princess is obsessed with bath bombs. I think this would be a great stocking stuffer! And it is handmade in TX!
  5. Anna & Elsa Cool Tunes Sing Along Boombox – My daughter has the older model of this item. She used to walk around singing “Let It Go” in the microphone at the top of her lungs. I like that it is portable and easy for a 2-3 year old to carry around.
  6. Anna Coronation Costume – We have so many Anna dress up gowns. My little one was Anna for Halloween one year and still likes to dress up as her favorite princess.
  7. Elsa Costume – This is on the Christmas list this year. Ya’ll this is going on a 3 year Frozen obsession. I can’t wait to see what happens next year when movie #2 releases. Check out how we organize our Princess dress collection here!

Toys

Frozen Toys

  1. Frozen Small Doll Collection – My daughter got this for her birthday and loves using this set to play in slime and playdough. They are small, figurine type dolls that fit in the palm of an adult hand. As a mom, I like these because although they are small, they are not dinky. They are chunky little figurines and we haven’t had one break yet (despite the slime plunges that they take often).
  2. Frozen Elsa Magnetic Doll – Dress Elsa up in tons of different ways. My daughter enjoys this quiet time activity while her brother is napping. And if you are more into Anna, she has a magnetic doll set too. This one does have quite a few small pieces, so keep that in mind if your little one still puts things in his/her mouth.
  3. Anna Baby Doll– We have the set with Anna & Elsa.
  4. Frozen Bowling Set – These little bowling sets are great for indoor fun on a rainy day.
  5. Frozen Tent – Tents are just fun period.
  6. Frozen Magnetic Activity Scene – This is another good travel toy. We have used this on car trips and plane rides.
  7. Frozen Pie Face – the popular game with an Olaf twist.
  8. Frozen Operation – A game that is fun through the ages. Did you have operation when you were younger?
  9. Anna Barbie Type Doll – There is also an Elsa. My daughter likes to play with these in her doll house.

Educational Items

Frozen Games & Play Doh

  1. Anna Lego Set – Legos are on my 4 (almost 5) year old’s Christmas list this year. Since this is her favorite Princess, we may have to give it a try.
  2. Frozen Look & Find – Your kids can never have too many books! Reading is so important and i love the look and find interaction that this one provides. If you want to see our Frozen Christmas books, check out our Christmas book advent calendar tradition.
  3. Frozen Puzzle Set – We have this item in the Peppa Pig version. I cut the picture off the back, put the picture and the corresponding pieces into a ziplock bag and then store all the pieces in the wooden box. It makes it easy to keep the puzzles separated.
  4. Olaf Play Doh Set – Play doh is a great way to encourage the imagination and sensory development of young kids. If your frozen obsession is a snowman, this is for you.
  5. Frozen Matching Game – Challenge your child’s memory with this fun game featuring your favorite Frozen gang.

Frozen Clothing And Accessories

Frozen clothing for Kids

  1. Anna Hat with Braids – This was another birthday gift from a friend. It always gets cute comments when we are out and is a fun way to “dress up” without actually wearing a costume out. It is all about compromises when it comes to little princesses isn’t it! There is an Elsa option too.
  2. Frozen Panties – A practical gift that is still fun for the recipient is the best.
  3. Long Sleeve Elsa Nightgown – No better way to sleep than in an Elsa gown.
  4. Frozen Hair Clips – Cute clips that would be great to add on to a gift or a stocking stuffer.
  5. Elsa Robe – This looks nice and warm for chilly winter mornings.
  6. Gloves and Hat Combo – There are several different character choices. I love hats and gloves as a practical Christmas gift.

Target even has matching family Olaf pajamas that are really cute if you want to wear matching Frozen pjs on Christmas morning.

Ultimate Frozen Gifts

Ultimate Frozen Toys and Gifts

  1. Frozen Castle Playset – My friend at work sent me me this when her granddaughters outgrew it. We have had it for a little over a year and it is still in great shape so I would say that it is a good quality item. If you are looking for a dollhouse at a lower price, this one is cute and less than $50. And here is the brand new Frozen 2 Dollhouse.
  2. Frozen Bike – My 4 year old is in need of a new bike this year and she may just get this one for her Birthday! i think she would love the little doll sleigh on the back.
  3. Frozen Jeep – My Dad and Stepmom bought my daughter a power wheels toy when she was 2. We still laugh at how now 2.5 years later, she can finally use it! We don’t own this Frozen version but it is very cool and would be super exciting to a Frozen fan.
  4. Frozen Table, Chairs & Toy Organizer – I love this because it doubles as a gift for kid and parent. Kiddos love a table meant just for them. Use it for home picnics, to color or play. The toy organizer displays our favorite Frozen characters so maybe just maybe the kids will pick up their stuff off the ground and put it in the toy box? Wishful thinking?
  5. Frozen Sofa – Ultimate doesn’t have to mean expensive! This is less than $40 and will be a favorite. My mother in law sent a vintage kids couch down for us recently and my kids go crazy for it and it doesn’t even have a Frozen princess or queen! Read the reviews, looks like this is best for small kids.
  6. Olaf Snow Cone Maker – Do you want to build a ….. snow cone? Oh my gosh, I know some kids (and a hubby) that would love to have a snow cone maker at home. Especially one shaped like Olaf!
  7. Frozen Ride on Sleigh – My daughter saw this on the computer screen and was losing it. “I want that!” Ultimate Frozen II Christmas Gifts for Girls
  8. Olaf Inflatable – Wow your kids or grandkids with this Olaf inflatable. My kids go crazy for inflatables!
  9. Frozen Ball Pit – A ball pit is every toddler’s dream!
  10. Frozen 6V Quad ATV – This is a great ride on toy for kids as young as 18 Months. My 2 year old loves riding this toy (we have a different character for him but it is the same toy). The battery stays charged pretty well for lots of use before you have to recharge. It is small enough to ride in your house (things I said I’d never do) or outside in the driveway.

I hope the ultimate Frozen gift guide helps you to find the perfect present for your little Frozen fan. I am off to see if we can find some of our Frozen items to donate to make room for the new items that my baby girl is wanting for her birthday and Christmas this year.

And if you have any other little girls in your life that love the LOL Surprise dolls, check out this Ultimate LOL Doll Guide. Tons of LOL stuff to make your little one happy.

Back To The Grind Teacher Gift With Free Printable

August 20, 2018 by Stacy Craft 9 Comments

This back to the grind teacher gift will be appreciated by your child’s teacher at the start of the school year. Use the free printable gift tag to fix this present up quicker than you can make your own cup of coffee.

Back to School Teacher Coffee Idea with Tag and Gift Idea

(Affiliate Links are used in this post. A small commission may be paid to me at no extra cost to you and that helps to support this page. Please see my disclosures page for additional information.)

Can you believe that it is time to start thinking about back to school again? As the last few days of summer come to a close, I have school supplies, backpacks, and brown bag lunches on my mind. Once I get the mandatory items out of the way, it is time to move on to taking care of those sweet teachers! With this back to the grind teacher gift, you will give him/her the lifeblood of the school year. COFFEE!

Coffee is how I make it through the days with my two little ones. I am not a teacher but I can only imagine if I had 10 or 20 little bitty babes running around. Talking. All. Day. Long. Yes, our teachers need some fancy, free coffee in their life on the first day of school.

Don’t miss this $1 “Back to School Would Be Totally Nuts Without You” easy teacher gift too!

Back To The Grind Teacher Gift

I like this teacher appreciation gift because you can really customize it to the recipient and based on how much you want to spend. My little girl currently attends two different mother’s day out programs and has two teachers in each class. So even though I wish that I could shower all of them with everything that they deserve, I do have 4 teachers to buy for and I have to budget.

These ideas are great because you can tie the tag to one item or make a filled cup or basket. Either way they will love that you thought of them. And yeah they will love the caffeine boost too.

Teacher Coffee Gift Under $10

A simple and inexpensive gift for your child’s teacher can be made by purchasing a single coffee item and attaching the free printable below to it.

One of my goals this year is to give more. Even if the gift isn’t perfect. It does not have to be elaborate. Or amazing. It just has to show that I care. This is a tough one for me because I am a perfectionist. I want things to look like a Pinterest masterpiece. But the truth is that I don’t have time to give as much as I want if everything has to be perfect.

I’m finding more and more that most people just love to know that you thought of them. Teachers always seem to fall into that “should be appreciated more than they are” category. So this year, I’m going to give to them. It might be something nice and elaborate or it might just be a cup of coffee. And I hope that to the person receiving the gift that it won’t be JUST a cup of coffee. I hope that they will know how much we appreciate them taking care of our babies.

Back to the grind teacher gift

So here are some ideas for single items that would work well with the free back to the grind teacher gift tag printable. These are all around $10 or less making them pretty affordable but also still a nice treat. These can all be purchased on my favorite – Amazon – because I know you are busy at this time of year!

Unique Birthday Party Favors for Kids

June 17, 2019 by Stacy Craft Leave a Comment

Easy and useful items to fill those birthday party goodie bags without the junk from the party favor aisle.

Unique Party Favors for Kids Treat Bags - Birthday Party Treats without Cheap junk Fillers

Are you tired of the junk toys that come home from school parties and birthday treat bags? They create clutter and typically end up on the floor unused within a matter of minutes.

The worst part is that some parent put time and energy into selecting those junk toys and then paid good money for them! I decided to break away from the pack.

For my daughter’s treat bag at her party this year, I decided to skip the party favor aisle and do a play on her favorite things instead. It was so nice to find some unique birthday party favors for kids that came to her party without much more effort than normal.

Plus, I am pretty sure all of these things will get used instead of trashed. Because if I’m going to spend money on something, I want it to be valued.

(Affiliate Links are used in this post. A small commission may be paid to me at no extra cost to you and that helps to support this page. Please see my disclosures page for additional information.)

Unique Birthday Party Favors For Kids

Creating unique birthday party favors for kids treat bags is easier than it might seem.

First, I wrote out my daughter’s name vertically on a sheet of paper.

Then I started thinking of things that she liked that started with those letters. I came up with a few choices and then let her choose from those so that she had some influence over her treat bags. She found it fun to pick something based on the letter.

Here is what we came up with for her name:

S (Starbursts)

A (Applesauce Pouches – My kids are always starving on the way home after a party so I thought this would be a good snack)

Y (Yoo Hoo Drink Boxes)

L (LOL Doll Lip Gloss and we did this for the boys)

O (Oreo Dippers)

R (Ring Pops)

Ballerina Girls Treat Bag with Favorite Things Goodie Bag Fillers - No Junk Toys - Fun Treats

This treat bag might not win any health awards but it eliminated a bunch of 25 cent plastic toys from collecting in the homes of all her friends. Next year maybe I can talk her into including an RX kids bar to up our health goals! Or she can just enjoy some treats on her birthday!

Party Favor Tag

To make the favor bag tag, I just created square outer boxes in Excel. Wrote out the information and then added some free clip art to make it cute.

So easy and it helped to explain the theme of her treat bag.

Gift Tag for Birthday Party Treats for Kids

Treat Bag Assembly

Fill your treat bags with your items and attach the tag with some cute washi tape or ribbon.

The treat bags I used are here. I loved the little piece of tulle on each one that made the ballerina skirt.

So simple & you have a bag of things that will get used instead of trashed!

Ideas for Birthday Treat Bag Fillers And Favors

Individually Wrapped Snacks (granola bars, chips, crackers, cookies)

Kid Drinks (mini bottles of Gatorade, drink boxes or pouches, drink flavor packets)

Multipack Toys (think toys that you buy in the normal toy aisle but that can be separated- Hotwheels, figurine sets, multipack of dolls, balls, sidewalk chalk, small craft kits)

Multipack Beauty Items (same as the toys, packs of items that you can separate – bath bombs, chapstick, hair ties)

Art Supplies (crayons, markers and paint sets are usually reasonably priced)

I love to find multipacks of things outside of the party favor aisle that I can separate into treat bags. You will typically find better quality items at a similar price this way.

No Junk Favor / Treats for Holidays

In continuing on with my mission to get rid of the junk that always accompany school holiday parties, check out these posts to help spend your money wisely and avoid sending junk home to the other families in your child’s class!

Back To School Would Be Nuts Without You Teacher Appreciation Gift Idea With Free Printable

August 13, 2019 by Stacy Craft Leave a Comment

An easy and inexpensive Back to School gift for your child’s teacher that can be put together in just a couple of minutes. Make the first day of school special for your kid’s new teacher too!

Back To School Would Be Nuts Without You Teach Appreciation First Day Of School Gift With Free Printable Tag

Preparing for back to school is a lot of work. You have new clothes to find, school supplies to purchase and backpacks to pack. But as you prep your kids to return to school, you want to acknowledge the new teacher that your child will spend the year with.

Last year we did the “Back to the Grind” Coffee Teacher gift for the first week of school. The coffee gift was nice because you could grab the item that you need at the grocery or drug store. Let’s be honest, making a gift easy to buy increases the likelihood that I will actually get it done.

So just like the coffee teacher present, this back to school would be nuts without you teacher appreciation gift can also be easily purchased at a grocery or drug store. Stick the free printable on and take that baby to school!

Back To School Would Be Nuts Without You Teacher Appreciation Gift

So I may or may not be struggling with sending my sweet girl to kindergarten this morning. She has been begging to go for weeks so at least she is excited. And actually as I write this at 6 a.m., she just came in my room (without being woken up by me) fully dressed in her first day of school outfit. Ready to go!

It is funny how the mind works. On the one hand, I am excited for her. To see what she will learn, to see her new friends and to see her embark on a new chapter in her life.

But on the other hand, my mama heart is just a little sad. Big kid school signifies what I have known for a while. She is not a baby anymore. She will probably have to deal with some things at school that I won’t be able to immediately fix. And I will want to but as we move to this chapter, I will focus on teaching her to be able to stand up for herself. To be kind (although she doesn’t need many lessons in that). To be confident. To be herself.

Ok, while I go sob in the corner, we can get back to these cute little Back to School Would Be Nuts Without You teacher appreciation gift.

What You Need

You know what else I love about this little teacher gift? You only need two items!

I can’t ever remember to pick up the cute colored baker’s twine or ribbon or washi tape to elevate my gift giving. So I made the printable super colorful. No bow needed!

Here is your supply list:

  • Nuts – You could do a package of mixed nuts or chocolate covered almonds like I did
  • Free Printable

Just attach the printable with a little piece of tape.

Gift Tag - Back To School Would be Nuts Without You Teacher Gift For First Day

What I Love About This Teacher Gift

  • Easy – You can find nuts at pretty much any gas station or grocery store. No special trip to a specialty store.
  • Gender Neutral – This would work for male or female teachers! I love that because male teachers tend to be a bit harder to buy for.
  • Inexpensive – You can buy one of those individual packs of nuts for usually around $1. You can choose to get a bigger package but it could be done for $1. A teacher gift doesn’t have to be expensive to show that you care. The package that I used was right around $5 at my local grocery.

Back To School Would Be Totally Nuts Without You Free Gift Tag Printable

To print, just click this Link. It will take you to a PDF page to print the tags.

Cut the gift tags and attach to the teacher’s gift. The end. You are done.

Back to School Would Be Totally Nuts Without You Teacher Appreciation First Day gift

Will anyone else be joining me in a good cry after making up their back to school would be nuts without you teacher gift today?
